The five checks

What each check catches, and what to verify

1. 01

   Mint authority

   Catches whether someone can still create more supply.

   What to verify: is the mint authority revoked? An active mint authority can increase supply after launch.

2. 02

   Freeze authority

   Catches whether an account can be stopped from moving its tokens.

   What to verify: is the freeze authority revoked? While it is live, the authority holder may be able to stop a token account from moving.

3. 03

   Metadata integrity

   Catches mismatched names, links, descriptions, and update control.

   What to verify: is the metadata update authority revoked, or held by a named, public team multisig with a stated reason? Update control means the token's public identity can change after you inspect it.

4. 04

   Liquidity mechanics

   Catches fragile pools, removable liquidity, and misleading depth.

   What to verify: is liquidity locked or burned, with a proof link, or does the project show why that does not apply? Removing a pool's liquidity can destroy the market and leave holders unable to exit.

5. 05

   Transfer fees & taxes

   Catches hidden movement costs and rules that change what arrives.

   What to verify: does the token charge a transfer fee, how large is it, and can the rate change? Hypothetical example: with a 3% transfer fee, 97 of every 100 tokens sent arrive. Source for how transfer fees work: Solana Token-2022 transfer fees docs.
