Side Earnings
Apps I actually use to make a little extra. Every pick shows what it pays, what it wants from you, and the catch. It's side money, not a salary.
- Honest numbers
- Catch listed up front
- Referral links disclosed
- No crypto hype
Verb
Get paid for data you already create: shopping, browsing, and app activity.
Ways to earn
- Browsing tracker: up to $30 a month
- Forwarding receipts from your email: about $10
- Uploading Instagram, TikTok or ChatGPT exports: varies
- Connecting a bank card: extra credit
Verb says its median member makes $52 a month. That's the company's figure, not a promise.
The catch
- The tracker is a VPN, so it can see your browsing.
- Your data is sold to researchers and AI labs.
- Bank transfer only, after a 7-day pending period. You may get a 1099.
Tips
- Use a secondary email, or a filter that forwards receipts only.
- One account per person. Never forward someone else's email.

Is Verb legit?
Verb, Inc. is based in Washington, DC, and has been covered by NBC News and Axios. It's a young company, so rates and rules can change.
Can I stop sharing?
Yes. Remove the tracker's VPN profile and certificate, or delete your account. Data already shared can't be pulled back, and deleting forfeits pending money.
Before you sign up for anything
- Never pay to join an earning app.
- Never share passwords, seed phrases, or card PINs.
- Read what data an app collects before you install it.
- Earnings are usually small. Treat it as a bonus, not income.
Disclosure: buttons marked "with my link" are referral links. I may earn a bonus if you sign up and qualify, at no cost to you. I'm not affiliated with these companies, and nothing here is financial advice. More picks coming soon.
